I cant believe my second week here is already over. Time seems to have just vanished like nothing. I have done so many things, and each day feels like another adventure. I have continued to help out at the various museum activities such as the Toy Boatbuilding shop, the Art Spot, and many others, along with working at the Boathouse and continuing my research of the LA Dunton.

This week I got to help out with a really cool project involving the museums exhibits branch. My superior, Alan, was allowing me to work with him on this new idea of hanging a cloud of pocket watches that the museum has in its collections. My lead supervisor, Elysa Engelman, the Director of Exhibits, has given me many different opportunities within the seaport for which I am so thankful for.

I also worked with the Shipyard department and did some scanning of the old documents of the LA Dunton. As well as got to see some of the work the Engineers are doing with this ship. They are taking hundreds of pictures and then putting them into a program that meshes them together to make a 3D design. This is all so that when they eventually get ready to restore this boat they have a full 3D diagram of the ship, up to the cracks that they do not wish to be there when they are done with the project.

Also on my bucket list while I am here is to learn how to sail so at the boathouse as well as in my free time. I got to sail the small Beetle Cats that we rent out of the boat house. Also I got to sail the Catboat Breck Marshall this week which is a boat that takes six people around the river on a tour and the captain Dane, let me drive the ship on one of the last tours of the day.
