What solutions can be taken to lower the impact of criminal behavior and reduce the likelihood of repeat offenses? As you think upon this, know that there is not just one right answer. That’s what makes this such an important question in my desired career field. Hi, I’m Kaylynn Quinonez, a self-motivated high school junior at Montezuma Cortez High School with a strong interest in a STEM career related to Forensic Psychology. I am passionate about working with others whose voices are not always heard and providing a safer environment for everyone.
Although I am only a junior in high school, I have already worked with a group of local teenagers to help our local nonprofits get
access to grant opportunities, volunteered regularly, and worked as assistant stage manager in our musical “Hello Dolly”(the picture is of me on stage). Currently I am taking Forensics and college level classes such as Anatomy and Physiology, PCC Pre-calculus, and AP English. I have also picked up skills such as grant writing, basic coding, video editing, online spreadsheet management, and making coffee which will come handy at some point throughout my internship. In my free time I like to run track, watch sunsets, go shopping, research cases, and spend time with family. I love learning new things and I am excited to be a 2024 Pintern.
PS: The picture below is mock crime scene for Forensics class.
