This week was concluding week. The Fisher family once again invited me to go to a baseball game. This time the Padres played the Phillies. Although the Padres lost, it was a good game. Especially the firework show at the end was impressive. It lasted for a very long time. After that it was time to go. The following night I went to go see the new Jason Bourne movie together with the remaining San Diego Pinhead Interns. It was a good movie – a lot of action and a storyline that I could easily follow.
Over the next couple of days I began to wrap up my cell projects and handed the remaining cells off to the postdoc who will continue to culture them. Many of the other volunteers had left the previous week; therefore I spent more time doing volunteer chores, such as taking out the trash and cleaning equipment. At the end of the week, I turned in my notebook and the other equipment that I had used. After that, we played a little bit of basketball before I said my final goodbyes and headed home.
