Firefly, made to hold up the rocket horizontally

Hello my name is Devyn Rummel and I am attending Norwood high school as a senior next year.

I traveled to Essington, Pennsylvania for my internship at Piasecki Aircraft Corporation. I arrived on the 27th of June and had minor difficulties finding my host parent because he was at the arrival gate and I was at the check-in gate. I showed up that night and came to the house where I had dinner and got some good rest for work the upcoming week. The next day I went to work and was immediately introduced to everyone as they walked in the door. From there I was given a tour of the facilities and surrounding property. On Tuesday we were working to get the shop cleaned because there was a guest visit on WednesdayOn Wednesday morning we cleaned the shop until it was spotless and the guest visit went very well. As for Thursday, my supervisor and I wrapped up a project that Piasecki made called Firefly. It was made to hold up a rocket while it is in the horizontal position on the ground.  This product was to be shipped as soon as possible. On Friday, the products needed to be slightly altered so the wrapping had to be all torn off and redone. We did that and loaded the products in the truck for shipment. They are headed to Texas for the company that ordered them to approve of them.

Next week I plan on working on any project that needs my work and soon I hope to learn how the aircrafts work from the engineering standpoint.
