This week was very interesting! I switched host families because my first host family went to New Orleans for a wedding. I miss them a lot but I’m glad they get to have fun and I love my new host family just as much!

Downtown Louisville

When I’m not at work I’m always having innocent 3- to 5-year-old fun! We build forts, play with finger puppets, color and paint, and do LOTS of origami. My host dad is a chef and my host mom loves to cook so I get great meals and snacks all the time! We have done a lot of fun stuff around the city, too! Louisville just recently got a bridge called the Walking Bridge. This weekend we rented a four-person bike and rode across it. I got an amazing view of Downtown Louisville from the bridge. The night before that, we went to the University of Louisville to watch “Zootopia” on a huge projected screen where I got a wicked (temporary) tattoo!

This week at work was the best so far! I have a regular schedule still, which is nice. I’m making many friends with coworkers and patients. Some of the people I work with have really quirky and delightful personalities!

Planking contest

On Friday this week, a bunch of people who work in the cubicle farm had a planking contest! I am sad to say that I could not out-plank a group of 20- to 30 year-olds.

Shocking Mitch

And down in one of the gyms, one of the activity-based technicians had to test the electrodes; sadly, the only way to do that is to shock yourself. It was hilarious (but the poor man)!

Foggy Louisville

The weather has been pretty wild this week. On Tuesday, the sky got so cloudy that it looked as if it were 9:30 PM at 9:30 AM. The town got really foggy and the it rained really hard! On Thursday, it rained even harder but not until I got off of work (just my luck). I had to walk from my work to the bus and from the bus home in the pouring rain (almost a mile!) Luckily, I love the rain! And, because of the humidity, the air stays warm even when its raining.

Data analysis

The longer I am here, the more interesting it becomes! I love this city and all of the people I meet and work with!
