Week 4. Aaron

imageimageimageBetween all the excitement at the university and at home I find myself late writing my blog. But better late than never so here I go. The group of grad students that I’ve spent the last four weeks with are moving on to other parts of their education. These are good people and were always welcoming and sincere to me. We went to a restaurant for lunch on Wednesday and laughed and joked through the lunch break. They always helped me understand  whatever we were doing which last week was palpating cows. The professor would explain what we were looking for and off we went to the cows. Whenever I looked dumbfounded(which happened more than my pride would have liked to allow) they would come over and explain it so that I would get a grasp on it. Needless to say the university language is a different form than everyday conversation. Through trial and error and a little coaching from the students and Dr. Wenzel I’m beginning to know what I’m feeling when I’m inside a cow. I will miss them and hope they success in whatever they do. It was a busy weekend at home. Jim and Jackie’s niece came to visit from Wisconsin. We went to a local lake called Lake Martin for a day. We all went to watch the Auburn fireworks and visited the local pool several times. I left Colorado pale as a fish belly but I’m going to come home nice and tan. I’m doing great and hope the last two weeks bring more great things.

When you get your cow palpating perfected, I have some nice cows at home waiting for you. Nice blog.
