I am Aloera MacFarlane, a Montrose High School junior passionate about zoology.

Throughout my previous experiences, whether in volunteer work or academic projects, I’ve witnessed the importance of clear communication and adaptability in zoology. I have been a part of many AP science classes relevant to Zoology, and these encounters have instilled in me a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of all living beings. Zoology isn’t just a subject; it’s a passion that drives my heart.

I am beyond grateful for the internship experience, and I can’t wait to dive into meaningful conservation efforts and explore the incredible diversity of life on our planet. I want to explore how my communication, flexibility, and collaboration skills can benefit the internship. I’m excited about the opportunity to learn and grow alongside fellow enthusiasts in zoology.

However, on my “regular days,” I find hobbies in art and music where I can take time for myself (away from my eight siblings). I have previously played instruments, but I’m currently focusing on choir. I also have a small business where I sell my art pieces.
