This week started off by taking Monday off because of the National holiday Juneteenth. On Tuesday Graham and I got straight back to working on the 3D printer. The current problem we were experiencing was that the z-axis sensor wasn’t working. We spent all Tuesday trying to figure out what the problem was and how to fix it but we were unable to find the answer, and we still do not know. On Thursday we updated the firmware on the printer because it hadn’t been done since 2020. The update was going well until we had to update the LCD screen on the printer. The first step was to completely erase the previous data on the LCD before installing the update. We followed the instructions, but the LCD never came back on. Friday we connected to the printer with a usb to micro usb cable because the printers LCD wasn’t working, making us unable to control it unless we connected to it from a computer. Not only was the LCD not working, but also the Wifi was not on. Throughout the day we worked on coding to fix the firmware of the LCD and get the Wifi back up and running. It was easy to get the Wifi working again, but we were unable to get the LCD working at all. By the end of the day the Wifi had completely stopped working because of a different issue that will be explored next Monday. The LCD is still completely messed up with no clear answer why.

Outside of work, I went to a concert at Red Rocks to see the band The Bleachers. It was a very fun concert to be at because of the lead singer, Jack Antonoff, who knew how to work with the crowd. I only spent $30 on my ticket because I bought it from someone else and it was very much worth it. I also went rock climbing at the nearby gym a lot more and my progress is becoming very obvious in my climbing.
