Hello, my name is Sammi. I am an intern at the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, in Savannah Georgia. I am learning about the marine life that is around the Tybee Island. There are many different sea life.

I started working on Wednesday at the science center. I went on a couple camps with my boss Beth. We went to the beach and learned that the holes in the beach with water coming out is ghost shrimp. They live six feet underground and get up to six inches long. Thursday though Sunday I was working inside the center. Most of the time I stayed at the touch tank. There are hermit crabs, spider crabs, starfish, and horseshoe crab. The spider crab is my favorite crab in the touch tank.

Hermit crab, horseshoe crab, common starfish, and spider crab.

On Tuesday, my host Zelda, took me on a bike ride to show me where I will have to go to get to work. She also took me to meet her friend that she is close to. After that we went back home and to the beach. I collected quite a bit of parts of seashells. I am having lots of fun in Tybee.
