This week I continued to work through some of my assignments with Maddie. We had a virtual meeting on Wednesday where we went over my pedigree together. We mostly talked about common genetic traits that appeared on my family tree repeatedly. She also gave me a new, update assignment for my gene sequence presentation. This assignment included a GoogleDoc with vocab, reading/database projects, human patient data, and other fun googling assignments. This project will most likely keep me busy for a week or two. It will help walk me through some of the complexities in reference to osteogenesis imperfecta. Hopefully next week I will have some more information about some of the specific work that I am doing for this assignment, as well as any other work I am doing alongside this assignment.

Outside of my internship, I have been working at the pool as a lifeguard and spending time with my friends and family. On Friday, my friend and I went to McPhee Reservoir where she has a boat. Over the weekend my grandparents came up to visit from Santa Fe. They are only here for a couple of days so we spent time hiking and hanging out around town. Other than that I went mountain biking most days now that the bike park has opened in Mountain Village.
