Hello again! This second week has been a ton of preparation leading up to leaving for D.C. on Sunday. Ms. Tracie got me in contact with another intern named Loic Ntumba Sangwa. He sent me an email with some flyers regarding a bootcamp the Rodham Institute is doing on Health Equity and Social Justice. Here is a preview of his awesome work on photoshop:

The bootcamp is two sessions, one for middle school age kids and one for high school. I will be more hands on helping with this bootcamp during my time in D.C.!

This week I also was able to stand with Ms. Holbrooke behind the Pinhead table during the Art Walk outside of On Main. We sold tickets to the Science of Cocktails online and I talked some about what I would be doing on my internship, as I am one of the three able to travel this summer! Make sure to buy tickets to the (remote) Science of Cocktails, 6 mixologists are creating amazing drinks that you can make at home.

This is me at our awesome set up on Thursday night for the Art Walk!

I will have loads of information starting next week and I will share as many photos as I can. Currently with the Black Lives Matter Movement and COVID 19, I will be invested in doing what I can to help, and will have no shortage of awesome experiences that I can’t wait to share!
