This week I continued my research on sea level rise as well as make a graphic about the data I have collected. The image shows the populations of all Florida counties as well as an “out of state” slice. It shows how the population of each county will change due to sea level rise in the next 80 years.

As well as create this graphic for Mr. Strang’s presentation on sea level rise, I had a chance to visit a construction site in North Bay on Miami Beach. The site is one of three in a row that Strang Design has been contracted to build. The other two sites are finished and the third one is a spa/tennis court. All three belong to the same client. Here are a couple pictures of the construction site.

I was was able to see the backyard and courtyard of the rest of the client’s property because they weren’t home. It was quite amazing, with multiple pools and outdoor bars.

Last weekend I explored downtown Miami. I walked along the shore-front and under all of the huge skyscrapers. I saw the American Airlines Arena again which is where my host family took me to a concert my first weekend here.

I had a great time this week and am excited for my final week!
