A 24″ x 36″ laser cutter that cuts with a CO2 laser, which is on the invisible light spectra.

I just finished my third week of Mechanical Engineering here at CU Boulder. This week I got my training in the ITLL (Integrated Teaching and Learning lab) for laser cutting and 3D Printing. This was a process because I also needed to get the orientation tour, so all three of these things in one day took quite a while. However, it was also very cool! The 3D printers they have here are by far the most complex and highest quality printers I have ever worked with. The Laser Cutter is also very cool. I thought is would only be able to do straight cuts on certain materials, but it can actually do very complex patters, both cutting and engraving with a variety of materials.
