Things have finally stabilized this week to the point that I am still doing what I did last week. We are continuing to read X-ray binary papers for Aprajita and run double white dwarf simulations with Kyle. However, we are shifting the focus of the simulations to more precisely determine possible outcomes of a given system based on the masses.

Outside the lab, I was invited to go boating again. The water was a little rough, but a perfect temperature for swimming and we brought water skis. I was the only one interested in water skiing so that meant more time for me to practice. It took me a try, but eventually I managed to stand up fully, only to fall almost immediately. After floating in the water for a few minutes waiting for the boat to come back, I got another try and skied for a while. The choppiness of the water made staying up a surprising amount of work and eventually I got tired and fell after hitting a large wave. I was really looking forward to being on the lake this summer, and am very grateful that my host was generous enough to invite me.
