This week I got to switch back to my first host family. I will miss the second host family though! They were very nice and the kids were delightful!
My Fourth of July was not very interesting, sadly. I got the day off of work but it was rainy the entire weekend leading up to it and all week afterward. I heard some fireworks but I didn’t get to see a single one.
Everything at work is pretty much the same. On 
Tuesday, I found a Pink Zebra Horse while I was walking around during lunch. I caught a bad virus so I had to call in sick on Thursday and Friday! I was really bummed.
This weekend, my Mom came to visit and we went to Churchill Downs. My mom and I are huge Kentucky Derby Fans so it was amazing to get to see the stadium.
My host Mom had a concert at the Lakeside pool that we always go to, so I got to spend more time there which is always nice!
This experience has been amazing and I hope the last week will be as good as the first five!
