I have been working with Dr. Kris Hiney this past week on preparing a State 4H horse show. I also got to help teach a three-day horse riding class for 6- to 11- year-olds. The class included the body parts of a horse, parts of a bridal, learning to lead a horse, learning about horse care, grooming, and how to ride in an English saddle.
I helped teach the parts of the horse, bridal, and saddle. I also taught the girls how to lead a horse, and I taught them about horse care. This experience helped me a lot not only because I learned a lot more about horses, but I learned that I enjoy teaching kids about the things that I love. I also toured the campus of Oklahoma State University and I really enjoyed it. They have the biggest student union in the world and the best recreation center in the nation.
