This week has been a preparation for our final presentation, we had been working on some slides and finishing some electrochemical analysis we needed to complete the research we are doing entirely.

Monday we disable the uncoated and coated Li-metal anodes with PVDF/ALF3. After that  Taehee reserved the SEM for further analysis into the cell, going all the way to 500micro meters to see if the coated cells we did had a great performance and if the SEI layer didn’t affect the cell at all, I was kind of nervous while doing these since we had so little time and if the anode had a worse CE compared to the uncoated one our research would be worthless, however, we identify great things and the cutting layer on the cell was easily seen and we were successful in the creation of a new substance that helped the pros of lithium metal anode batteries.

Tuesday Taehee invited us to Starbucks and we started polishing the presentation with some schemes and diagrams, then we started adding information we had previously researched, after that, we started creating a little script and Taehee explained to us the main purpose of the research since its extremely complex to express it in words, he started to do a scheme and then using previous knowledge it was a matter of seconds to get it and move on,  we ended up finishing half of the presentation but we were missing some analysis we couldn’t finish it that day.

Wednesday and Thursday we got together and finished the presentation, it was a great experience doing the presentation with Taehee since he has a lot of experience doing slides, and the tips he gave me while doing a scientific presentation are invaluable and I appreciate the help he gave me on that part.

Friday we presented the slides to Taehee and he gave us advice on how to speak and say the information while presenting since it’s quite hard to explain the fundamentals of the creation of a Li-ion battery due to the small amount of research there’s on the subject, well Taehee made us present twice to have all the mechanics well polished, when we finished he told us that it was good enough but we still need to polish some ideas and interpretations of the research.

Saturday we rehearsed the presentations, it went decent we were put in an awkward situation since we were the only ones that had their presentation ready to go so Dr.Graeve called out 9 times and we were nervous, but we handle it and it went great, we just need a greater distribution of time but everything was proficient enough.
