It’s my second week on the internship, yet I have started to grow accustomed to the workload, and I have begun to understand the criminal cases a lot more than when I originally started. Every time I use Bloomberg Law, I make sure to pull up a google document to write down patterns that I notice and some questions I have for my mentor.

On Tuesday, I received a BuffOne Card, since then I have gone to the Institute of Behavioral Science every day of the week.

On Friday, I was invited to a GRID meeting. The team discovered a database that has access to juvenile cases and adult cases. They want to put the name’s of people referred to the program into the database, then once all of the details on the case appear, the team will plug plans on plugging that information into a survey. They want to examine the data and see if the people referred to the program have improved since they joined.

On the other days, I went on Bloomberg Law and I read indictments. If they were gang-related I write ‘Y’ and if not I write ‘N’ and explain why it is not gang-related. I also had to divide them into different folders.

After the GRID meeting, David invited me to have dinner with his family. I ended up going, and I spent a majority of my time playing puzzles with his two kids. The day after my roommates and I made lasagna, but I accidentally set the timer on for too long and we ended up burning it. So, instead we ordered pizza.
