Hi, I’m Alise Hardie, an intern working at Colorado School of Mines. I’ve been working with Austin, a graduate student under Dr. Petruska. Dr.Petruska is a mechanical engineering professor at Mines.

For my last week I finished up the code I was working on by adding one last function and a unit test to make sure the function worked properly. The last function was taking the data given and downsizing it to work with the new data given by the audio clips. Within an audio clip of a minute we were given way too much data to process and thus needed a function to downsize the data without changing the data which is exactly what this new function did. I also ended up doing some CAD drawings and was even able to 3D print them.

This past week was my final week with these amazing people. Austin, the graduate student I’ve been working with, even brought us cookies they were delicious. It was an absolute pleasure having the opportunity to work with him and Dr.Petruska.Thank you Mines for having me and Pinhead for making it possible, I really appreciate all that both have done.
