Hey, my name is Owen Doyle, and I am interning at an Architectural Engineering firm called ME&E in Durango. This is my 6th week at my internship and I spent it totally online for the first time because I had to move back to Telluride due to complications with housing. This week my mentor and I dove deeper into special systems and electricity. In terms of electricity I learned more about ohms law with khan academy and real world problems. Then we looked at special systems including electronic door locks and other things like that. Occupancy sensors and central computers and how they all connect to make sure a building is secure. I then proceeded to fix things that my mentor pointed out was wrong in previous models and then I set up rooms and looked at fire evacuation plans to help coordination between disciplines.
