Hi all,

I am working with Dr. Petruska at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, in his robotics lab on a few different projects.

For the first half of this week, I was at home visiting family, but still had a relatively eventful latter half of my week.

On Thursday and Friday, I worked on finalizing the Jackal robot. I was tasked with mounting LiDAR cameras on large robots, which I will picture later on. On Thursday, I unpacked the parts I had ordered the week prior. I encountered a small issue, as a few parts were just barely too big, due to a conversion issue, but I resolved the issue and re-ordered in smaller sizes. The parts are scheduled to arrive Monday, at which point I should be able to finish that component of the project, and move on to electronics, but since it will be my last week at my internship, I will likely have to transfer the project to another intern who is staying longer. On Friday, I resolved a few minor fitment issues, and purchased a few washers and longer screws from the hardware store.

On Monday, I went hiking with my family and saw fireworks back home. Tuesday, I repacked all my things and got ready to head back up. Then Wednesday I drove home, and while long, provided a nice bit to think and reflect. Back in Golden, I rode early Thursday morning, before work, and Sunday morning. On Thursday, I rode at Green Mountain, and on Sunday I rode at White Ranch, a new trail system for me. The climb was long and near 2000 feet over the course of 4-ish miles. Even though I rode in the morning, the climb was very hot. And finally Saturday, I went with Lane, Lucas, and Logan down to Castle Rock for a plane show, and visited the horse ranch where Logan’s partner Madi works.

Lastly, some photos. First is the Jackal robot which I mentioned earlier. Then, a few photos from my rides. Next, a photo of the three brothers at the ranch, and of a few horses. And lastly, a photo of Remi.
