Hello every one, here is a recap of what I have done during my second and final week here at the Tribeca Film Festival. Last Sunday, after a few hours of doing the work like last week I helped hand out informational papers for the new center for narrative and emerging media in L.A. that ASU is opening. In the following days, I did more docent work and the headsets had fewer issues with them. When people finished the VR experience I would then ask them if they wanted to write something on a puzzle piece wall. By the end of the festival the wall was mostly filled. During this time I learned that red and purple lights could affect Oculus headsets and cause issues, so after fixing the lighting issue, people were able to go through the VR experience easily. Tuesday was Amelie and her mom’s last morning here and as they left on a flight in the morning. Throughout the week after work, I would go to some of the movies at the festival, try some of the other VR experiences and games, and was able to see the MET museum. Two of my favorite films that I was able to see were the Animated Shorts Curated by Whoopi Goldberg and the film Corner Office. I am interested in animation and I liked how different the stories and styles of each of the short films were. I will watch my last film today and my flight back to Colorado is tomorrow morning. I have had an amazing time here and was able to learn some life skills and meet a lot of new people.
