Caitlin Ogoe – LASP Coding Training – Week 8

Hello again everyone! My fantastic weekend led into a pretty great week. We spent most of our time working away at our many, many projects. I have about 5 stacked up right now that I am trying to chip away at, including a new database project given to us by another “Laspian” or LASP employee. Everyday was mostly about chipping away at these projects as we prepare to face our final project. It’s definitely hard. With each new project we are receiving less and less direct instruction, so I find myself often mindlessly staring at my computer, hoping for code to suddenly materialize into my IDE. It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m still trying.

My week was also kind of cut short by a family trip. I traveled to a super remote ranch house to see my family that I hadn’t seen since 2019. My cousins have grown so much and it was a super needed break from these strange times, especially after committing to a super extensive lock down before the trip to keep some of my more vulnerable family safe from our “Western Slope germs.” At the house, I got to see some pretty vistas, knit some hats to keep my hands busy, and celebrated many, many birthdays, including mine  (though technically, mine isn’t for another week or so)! I hope to have a few breakthroughs in the coming weeks so I can catch up and start on our final project.

I caught a fish!
