This week was my last week at the REEF.

I had four days left at the REEF and I flew home on Friday. For my last few days I worked a lot on my scientific paper from the experiment that I had done the previous week. My mentor gave me a lot of help and thought me how to write a scientific paper. I also had to read a lot of scientific papers for citations and to see how to write one. Though that I got to learn a lot more about Octopus bimaculoides. For my data we used R to calculate the statistics and my mentor thought me a lot about what they meant to the experiment.

When I was not working on my scientific paper I was working in the REEF, helping take care of the animals. We had a few programmes of kids coming in to learn about the animals at the REEF and I got to tell them about all that I had learned about the California Two-Spot Octopus or O.  bimaculoides.

After work I spent time with Lauren and we want out to eat and explored the area a little bit. She also had this adorable black lab that I would always snuggle with.

On my last day there I got dinner with a few of the people that worked at the reef and that was a lot of fun.

I had such an amazing time at the REEF and got to learn a lot about the different animals that live in the area. I also got to learn a lot about how to perform an experiments and all the work that goes into one. It was an unforgettable experiences and I loved it!
