This week was awesome! I polished my project and remade some of the logic in the GUI so that it was more universal. Outside of work I spent most of my time at the gym or playing soccer. My project is going super well, and I think it is complete I just need to wait for my mentor, Dave, to sign off on it. On Monday I reworked the signals and slots in the GUI to make the communication between game and game options much more streamlined and effective. I had it set up using an odd chain of parent/child communication that gave quite the headache trying to understand and read. Now I have it set up using custom signals that emit whenever communication between the engine and the windows is necessary. I made a ton of small polishing edits like adding logging and properly commenting my code, in addition to really looking at the app from a user perspective and trying to make it as smooth and understandable as possible.

Outside of work I saw my family this week as my mom and brother were in Denver, and went to soccer at the rec. Kinda sad to be leaving next week but also super happy that I was able to complete so many awesome tasks and meet new and interesting people. For my project I am making a presentation to display all of it’s capabilities and features that I will show a group at my work in a few days.

My pictures this week are of a cool NASA/LASP rocket I saw while walking around Boulder, and me sitting by the buff pool at the CU recreation center.
