Hello everyone!

This week, Emblematic hired some new interns. Three high schoolers from the LA area came in for a two-week-long internship. I was in charge of showing them some of the work Emblematic has done. I was taught how to set up the headsets and play the films for them. I also worked with a college intern on troubleshooting some of the malfunctioning headsets. Sometimes when an external tracker isn’t working properly, the screen will flash blue every few seconds. We then had to find the tracker that wasn’t working and re-sync them all together.

On Friday, I went downtown to the Innovation COlab Conference. The founder of Emblematic Studios was presenting and I was to deliver her hard drive with the presentation on it. For the rest of the day, I got to listen to some very interesting presentations by various people in the tech world.

In my spare time, I worked on something called Reach. It is a browser-dependent program that creates volumetric spaces specifically for virtual reality. Emblematic created this program and wanted me to create some use-cases to show potential clients.

Outside of work, I moved to my second host housing; I’m now living with a film and TV producer. She is really interesting and overall a wonderful person. This weekend, we went to the Promenade, the beach, and to an amazing photography gallery.
