This was my final week in Miami. Last Saturday I visited the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables. It was a quick 10 minute walk. I swam around for a little while to cool off from the hot Miami weather.

On Sunday I rode a bus to South Beach. I spent the day walking down the boardwalk, looking at the beach and all the restaurants. It was a little bit overcast so it wasn’t as crowded as I was expecting. It was still very crowded by any standards I am used to.

On Monday I went in to the office to find that a pipe had burst in one of the restrooms. The entire office was flooded. Although I don’t know the extent of the damage, the office was closed for the rest of the week. This picture was taken after a majority of the water was cleared out.

My flight home was booked for Friday but my family and I were able to move it up to Tuesday because I was done with my internship. I had a great time during my three and a half week internship in Miami. Big thank you to my host family, the Hans, for hosting me as well as to Max Strang and the rest of Strang Design. Of course, none of this would be possible without the wonderful Pinhead Institute and all the great work they do.
