This week was super interesting. All week I was writing in C and C++. I learned a ton about the languages! I had a few assignments including finishing the ‘giant numbers’ datatype and a multiprocessing assignment. Both were very interesting because before now I had never programmed in C or C++ so I got to learn a new language from scratch. It was awesome. We had tons of work events this week too, including the second weekly office kickball game and a beginning of summer popsicle party. I had a blast at work I am super exited to go into the next training units.

I got used to my new house this week too! My new house is about half the distance from LASP that my last was, so I can get to work in a little under 20 minutes. Living without a host family, and instead just roommates has also really started me out as a home cook. Every morning I get up and make a big plate of bacon and eggs, which is a very nice way to start the day. Hanging out with my roommates was super fun. On Monday night we went to Top Golf in Denver. It was good fun, even though I’ve never golfed before. On Tuesday I went climbing in Clear Creek and had a total blast. The drive was around 30 minutes and there was a 10 minute hike but the climbing was awesome, we were a few hundred feet up in the canyon above the river,  the view was amazing.

The first picture was at top golf on Monday night, and the second two are from Climbing on Tuesday, the view was really amazing and the two pictures don’t do it justice. The picture on the left is looking down at clear creek, and the picture on the right is looking up at the wall from about a hundred feet away where the canyon drops off towards the river.
