Its my second week here and my projects are going really well. The experiment hasn’t been able to take place yet because the monkey is still in training. This monkey is named Ham and he’s a teenager and at the moment he’s going through a rebellious stage and really doesn’t want to listen. All of the videos are almost done and in addition to the videos I was given an exercise that Dr. Gothard uses on all her students. I had to describe a pencil and while that seems very simple I had to go in a lot of depth. Seven pasges of details to be exact. It was a very insightful exercise and this week seemed to fly by.

Outside of the lab I’ve been hanging out with two people named Natalie and Bailey. They attend the University here and they have been very nice and they’ve shown me a lot a cool movies. (Most importantly Confessions of a Shopaholic which is a very under-rated movie). I also got to visit Summer Haven which is a town about an hour away from Tucson up in the mountains and I felt very much at home. My host family and I did a little hike on Mount. Lemon and it was an absolutely beautiful day! By Far the highlight of my trip so far!
