This week we spent our time editing the code to get rid of the error messages for the labeling so the new code would correspond with the new labels. In coding, a simple capital letter can screw up your whole program. Our HK (HouseKeeping) packet of code had one set of labels whereas the TLM (telemetry) packet of code had all of the old labelings which weren’t changed yet. I couldn’t run the program on my computer because Macs can’t run .exe files (executable files for windows) so I had to find a specific program that would allow it so I could run it. Once we did, we had received all of these errors that stated that the labels did not exist. This meant that there was an inconsistency of labeling and that some of the programs were calling on labels that were changed to correspond with the new satellite. After fixing all of the labels, we then had to fix a run error which was in a file buried deep in the code. a stop header command was commented out and was preventing the code from stopping and starting a file, which was making an unpredictable and incorrect output. It finally ran correctly after that, but we were still getting one error, stating that a new COM (communications) file couldn’t be created. This was because we didn’t have the program running with the sensors connected. This meant that our task was accomplished!

This Saturday we hung out with some fellow Pinterns in Boulder as well. Jessica, a fellow Pintern from Telluride, drove me, Mike and Cooper, a fellow Pintern from Ouray, to Denver to go bowling. We played three games, which I won every single one! Afterward, we went to the Pearl Street mall and Jess and I watched as Mike and Cooper performed on the street with their guitars. They made a whopping $6, but they were performing really well and at one point had a whole circle of people around them. Overall it was a really successful week at the Pinternship as well as being really fun on the weekend.
