This week at the R.E.E.F. was quite interesting. Monday and Tuesday were pretty normal days with programs coming in and the undergraduates teaching them about kelp forests. We also did husbandry (housework) that needs to be done every day for the health of the animals.

Wednesday we had off for the 4th of July and I hung out with Scott Simon, my mentor, and his family. Thursday and Friday we had more programs and husbandry that needed to be done such as carding the algae off the sides of the tanks and feeding the animals. I am also starting to think of a project to do for my mentor Kylie, the shark aquarist, here at the REEF.

This Friday and Saturday we were struck with two scorching hot days and ended up going to the beach. Plus tomorrow we are planning to go down to LA and walk down Hollywood Boulevard. Thank you again Pinhead for this amazing opportunity.
