The TVAC Chamber

pin16warrenHi, my name is Warren Fulton. I go to Telluride High School. I am doing my Pinternship with This was a my first week arriving in Boulder to Aeronautical Engineering. This was a my first week arriving in Boulder to work on the QB50 satellite. Although I have only been here since Wednesday, I have already learned and done so much. Right now we are running tests on the satellite in thermal and vacuum chambers to troubleshoot and find any given problems so we can fix them and eventually send it up into space. My main project over the next five weeks to to write a program that will simulate the amount of voltage each solar panel will create with different angles of sunlight as it crosses in front of the earth. Here is a picture of the TVAC chamber which is a thermal vacuum chamber, which is used to get accurate readings on how the satellite will actually act in space.
