Week seven has come to an end, and my time at Piasecki is drawing to a close. With only two weeks left, it is hard to believe how fast time has gone by. However, work continues at a fast pace even with time running out.

This week I started work on a new project contracted to Piasecki by DARPA. I gathered multiple data points pertaining to costs and weights for the reference of Piasecki management. After reading of a study conducted by the Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, it can be said that the project is a creative one and will make for good use by US special forces.

Along with this new project came continuous updates to the Bill of Materials for the ARES Rotor Control System. This became a repetitive task as the drawing plans were refined almost daily. However, doing this further familiarized me with the aircraft and its parts, and produced more specific knowledge of the conceptual design.

Cool video on ARES, Morgan. Reminds me of aircraft featured in the movie “Avatar.” How ’bout you?

Any word on the cream cheese works?
