Jess- Week 5

I was avoiding putting up this blog post because I didn’t want to believe that week 5 was already over. The past six weeks flew by so quickly it is truly unbelievable.

The last week was very calm and it is pretty obvious the summer is winding down. The center had it’s last week of “sea camp” and had less and less traffic passing through the aquarium.

Zelda and I were able to take some seriously beautiful beach walks after work and even a trip to the neighboring island “Little Tybee” via kayak. We have been taking the paddle board out and enjoying the warm, calm water.

A few wild things happened at the science center like a crazy man offering to give the science center a “large” donation (25 cents) and a injured pelican rescue, but otherwise everything has been very calm and slow.

The last week is approaching which brings bittersweet emotions.  I will be sure to take in as much salty air and sandy feet as possible.
