The office where I did the majority of my work in during my time at CU Boulder.

For my last week at CU Boulder I was finishing up gathering data from the flight batteries of the cube sat. I discharged the batteries until the protection circuit kicked in and then I forced power into the batteries in order to open the circuit back up. After that, I started the charge cycle of the batteries. I was charging the batteries at 8.4 volts and started them out at 1 amp. Throughout the charging process, the amps slowly decreased to the point where the batteries were barely even charging. The batteries were charging so slowly that I had to cut the charge cycle off short and start discharging the batteries once again. After I finished discharging the batteries, my internship was just about over. I then gave all of my equipment back to Andrew and the cube sat lab and headed home to Telluride.

Thank you so much to the Pinhead Institute and staff for granting me such an amazing opportunity to learn more about the engineering field!
