Hello All! What a hectic and different than expected first week it was….It was a disaster! We were scheduled to go to Atlanta when we had all our flights delayed and finally cancelled. There was a large storm in the Atlanta area and it messed us all up. I missed some of my internship, but at least we found new flights and were able to get there soon! Finally, we were able to get to Atlanta in time for dinner with my grandparents and brother to gear up for the week. I love being back in my old home to see family and friends. This time I get to experience an internship too!

For my internship this year I am doing an array of things. Because I am only 17, it is tricky to get into the medical field in any sort(internship, shadow, etc). Thankfully, my dad had connections to a practice started right in Buckhead (neighborhood in Atlanta) that said I could tag along this summer.

I also got the opportunity to connect with Dr. Wynne at Emory University to see another side of the doctor world-research. With this being said, throughout my internship I will be spending my time all over the Ear, Nose, & Throat Institute (office, clinic, and the OR), and at Emory.

I am so thankful for this opportunity and ability to work in the medical field and cannot wait to get started!!
