17 Aug Ayla Kanow| Scripps Week 4| Neuroscience

I am happy to announce that I have finished my internship! The entire experience flew by especially the last week. I am grateful for everything I have learned, those that have taught me, and the experiences I hope will come next.

Although this internship was focused on science, I also learned a plethora of knowledge for “adulting.”

A few things I learned:

1. Bike safety smarts for riding on busy streets
2. listen to your instinct
3. how to ride in an Uber myself
4. google maps skills

This week in the lab, I wrapped up my work with all of my mentors. I didn’t learn anything new this week expect how to use the microscope myself. I did lots of perfusions and used the vibratome one last time.

So thankful for this experience, and thank you to everyone who made it possible.
