The Powell family and me

My last week at the Auburn Veterinary Teaching Hospital was a little slow. It was a shorter week than most because of my traveling days. During my last week I got to take the time to reflect on the time I spent in Auburn. I don’t want to sound super cheesy, but the time I spent in Alabama are six weeks that I will cherish forever. I experienced the hospitality of the south, which really lives up to it’s reputation. All three of the host families that I stayed with were incredible, so I owe a big thanks to the Powells, Ostrowskis, and the Moran family for letting me stay with them.

This last week was more of an emotional farewell than a week of veterinary science. On my last day, the entire rotation took me out to lunch (which ended up being around 20 people). Their kindness means the world to me.

This may be the cheesiest thing I have ever written, but I am not sure how else to sum up my last week at vet school. It was truly amazing.
