PINHEAD INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

PINHEAD PUNK SCIENCE:
284 total attendees, 12 programs
NO SCHOOL SCIENCE PROJECT:
355 total attendees
This is a 22% increase over 2018 for all locations, and 70% growth in our west end NSSP programs due to increased programming in Naturita and a new 5th day program in Norwood!
SCHOLARS IN THE SCHOOLS:
13 scholars reaching 1,138 students throughout our region.
PINHEAD SUMMER CAMPS:
15 summer camp programs offered, including 3 collaborations with Telluride Academy and 3 collaborations with Ah Haa. We had 68% growth in summer camp attendance in 2019!
FIRST ROBOTICS:
8 FIRST Lego League teams and 1 FIRST Tech Challenge team participated in Telluride, Naturita, Norwood, Nucla, Paradox, Ridgway and Ouray for a total of 2826 student contact hours. At the Durango qualifier, 2 of our FLL teams placed into the Colorado state competition, with Naturita taking home the ‘Community Advocates’ award in Denver. And our first ever FTC team took 3rd place at the New Castle Qualifier.
CODING PROGRAMS:
317 students in Cyber Clubhouse, Girls Who Code, Hour of Code, and Codelicious.
IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMS:
Jitterbugs, Orreries, Force and Motion, Pinhead PE, and 7th/8th Tech Class in Telluride. Codelicious in Naturita.
