Artist’s rendering of the MAVEN Spacecraft

This week I continued my work on the data-rate calculation tool for the IUVS instrument on MAVEN. I also attended many meetings about the operations of the spacecraft and instruments, and was even able to contribute to some of them with my knowledge of the data rates I had been studying.

Taking the bus has gotten easier as I have begun to memorize the schedule, which has helped to alleviate some of the pressure I felt last week.

Mission Operations Center for the MMS (Magnetospheric MultiScale) satellite constellation

Next week my mentor is going to a conference, so I will be left to work on my own on several projects between all three divisions of LASP: Science, Engineering, and Mission Operations. As with last week, I cannot get into the specifics of what I am/will be doing due to Federal Regulations.
