Connor W4This is my last week in Tempe. It has gone by so fast. This week I am working with the simulations themselves. I am using a code called Cloudy, “Cloudy is a spectral synthesis code designed to simulate conditions in interstellar matter under a broad range of conditions.” This code is what my prof uses to get data, and what generated the data I have been graphing. By learning to run and create data, I am now able to do all of the data comparison on my own.

Outside of my work, things have gotten busy around here. ASU starts on Monday and students are moving in this week. The weather has gotten little colder which is extremely nice, as in it went from 115 to 100. I have been playing a lot of soccer this week at the indoor soccer field, and have met some great people.

My host mother has also been driving me around to see different parts of Phoenix. We went and saw the botanical gardens which was a welcome relief from the city and the desert. I have loved it here, but can’t wait to be home. Thwack you Pinhead for this wonderful experience.
